CARTOONING AND YOU....ANIMALS! This class is similar to the original “Cartooning and You” program, but we will add fur, feathers, teeth, fangs, wings...well, you get the idea! Grades: K-6th |
CARTOONING AND YOU....LETTERING! If you like to letter, this class is for you! We will learn to bubble letter, add designs to letters, and create letter styles. This program is great for those who like to create posters, scrapbooking or just love the art of lettering. Grades: 2nd-Adults |
YOUNG AUTHORS / ILLUSTRATORS! This class helps children bring their book ideas to life. Together, they will talk about becoming an author, steps to getting your ideas to paper, character design, plot andillustration. Additional class information can be added depending on the organizational needs; example, “what are the steps we would take to get the book ready for the publisher?” Grades: 2nd-8th |
MANNERS BY DESIGN! Manners is becoming a “lost art”. This class is a reminder to those who have been introduced to manners and those who haven’t. Many times, the lack of manners is the lack of knowing what it involves! Together, we will design a place setting, learn about dining, conversation, public manners, being a good sport, phone/cell/email etiquette, party manners and more! Grades K-6th - *Also, an adult program geared to college grads, businesses and professional etiquette is available. |
SUPER SAFE SITTERS! Dawn has been in martial arts since the age of 10. With her background, she ties safety into this “Super Safe Sitters” class. Young people also will be taught Infant/Child CPR and receive their CPR certification based on the American Heart Association (after completion of classes). These future sitters will learn basic first aid, child games situations, how to be a responsible sitter and in others home etiquette. Ages: 11-15 |
TOBACCO PREVENTION! With the help and approval of the State of Michigan Tobbaco Section, Dawn created a tobbaco class that gets straight to the facts. Dawn uses her art, proven information and stories to make children think befor ehey have the chance to light up. |
